My Bio

Moinmoin!

I'm an independent artist who got sucked into computer graphics way too early in his life. It was inevitable, though, since I also love computers and programming. I love animation and the art of entertainment through storytelling.


After living in the California Silicon Valley for two decades, studying animation and starting my career as a freelancer, I've now moved to Germany with my wife and kids and continue to serve my clients in California.


To say that I'm not very active on Deviantart would be an understatement. At some point the overabundance of manga fan-art, sole, expansion and pregnancy fetish art, along with pony cartoons and other immature sexual fetish scribbles made it not worth browsing for me anymore.


However, I do come here to scout for talent to bolster my subcontractor resources for paid animation projects.

Art saves the day

I just saw an image in the newly submitted section. http://killocolypse.deviantart.com/art/Make-War-75902827 A "make love not war" graffiti with the words "love not" crossed out by a soldier. I really doubt that the obvious statement was the intended one there, but thats besides the point. It reminded me (remotely) of the thought that keeps crossing my mind of why any people on this planet would want to waste their time with anything else but art. lets re-invent the 'gift'

I'm not even going to start pretending that I have a reputation for being a great gift giver. The sad truth is, that I dont give gifts very often. When I give them, they are usually random in timing. The lack of a brainwasher around me (television) may unbias me a little, or a lot, but I'm starting to wonder if I'm the only one who finds this whole gift card madness a little akward? Let's re-collect: The last time I checked, a gift was supposed to represent an emotional attachment that I have to a person. I think when I give a gift, it is supposed to show the recipient that I care for him or her, that the friendship is valuable to me. Okay?
